No Two Security Quotes Are The Same
Just like no two fingerprints are the same, no two security quotes are the same. There are other variables you need to seriously consider when choosing a security company to install your security system.
No doubt you should get multiple estimates from security dealers quoting the very same equipment (so you’re getting the same features/benefits), but don’t just focus on price.

There’s No Such Thing as an Apples-to-Apples Quote and Here’s 3 Reasons Why:
The Installation
Here’s where you want to make sure you’re getting top-notch service. You don’t want a security company to come over, throw your system in and leave for the next install. There’s a lot of backend work, so you need to make sure it is done correctly—by licensed professionals.
A good installation will save you from HUGE headaches and will help future-proof your security system. What type of installation “code of ethics” do the security dealers you’re considering offer?

Extended Warranty
If a security company is worth their salt and truly committed to providing you with a great installation, then they will offer you an extended warranty. You should have at least a one year warranty on your new system (anyone offering you less, throw their quote in the trash). But a truly exceptional security company will offer you a six month extension (to 18 months) on your warranty.
After The Installation Client Care
What type of service & contact do you get after the installation? How do the security companies you are considering handle “after-the-sale” issues? And how do these companies stay in touch with their customers (i.e. company newsletters, emails, client care calls & notifications, client events, etc.)?
Here’s where you can see if a security dealer has a “one and done” mentality—where they just move on to the next sale, or is “client-conscious”—by making sure their customers are happy and kept in the loop after the sale and beyond.
Also, check their list of clients and read online reviews to see what other customers are saying about the security companies. Ask people you know, who have used these security companies, about the installation, and how they interact with new clients, and how they respond to issues after the installation.
